Toward an End

A life,

Crafted by hands unsteady.

A life,

Trigger guarded yet ever ready.

Cold as ice outside a school,

Slid upon by many a fool.

The Hospital fades like X-Rays,

Cancer shimmers in Summer Haze.

While Love grows and grows and grows to slow,

We shrink inside the things we know.

That we must go and go with drift and flow

to never say I told you so.
